Matrimonial Disputes
While the institution of marriage remains sacred, Indian society is becoming increasingly accepting of divorce, separation, and custody issues. Despite this, we continue to be afraid of making that first move by disclosing it to our family, even if it is an abusive relationship, a compatibility issue, or simply because two people no longer wish to lead a life as husband and wife.
We understand the sensitivity of the issue, and hence the first meeting with a client in a matrimonial matter differs significantly for us. We first understand the full version of the client, and then the client is counselled to ascertain if he/she is willing to give their marriage another chance or is determined to initiate the legal process and make them understand the best way to move forward.
We believe in significantly reducing the litigation in matrimonial matters by avoiding raising any frivolous or unwanted issues and attempting to resolve the matter through an alternative dispute resolution process. However, only where the alternative resolution fails, we recommend seeking assistance from Family Courts.
We believe in educating our clients about the available options and how the court handles matrimonial matters. We are confident you will receive a solution that best fits your situation.
